Enough About Me…Let’s Talk About Magic - What Is That?

“Enough about me,” I say, and then just as quick I continue on about myself - telling how I view the world from my perspective. And what is so wrong with that?

If it were not for me, the world would contain no magic in the way I wish to see and feel magic. The world around me - as is - is not necessarily a place of magic and so it is up to me to manufacture this magic; to make it happen; to create this intangible thing; to make this seemingly fanciful ideal into a reality. And that is true for every living human being who has already achieved the basics of food, clothing and shelter. It is up to each of us to imagine, then to create this world which we dare to envision.

One of my few escapes to this place called magic is the dance floor. I find magic, too, in the unlimited realms of the imagination. There are no walls, no boundaries, no bosses, no authoritarian figures in this world who can halt the flow of magic. This magical place - the imagination -  is a free wonder land of immense color, spiritual truth and profound freedom.

In this fanciful way of viewing the world I live a glamorous life because I choose to see all of life that way. I am interesting because I see myself as interesting. I am brilliant because I dare to be brilliant.

I bring forth the magic I want to see in the world. If it were not for me there would be no real magic. That is not an egotistical statement. I think that is true - not just for me, but for all of us. If we want the world to be a place of beauty, of unlimited creativity where people are bright, witty and brimming with enthusiasm, we must be those qualities ourselves.

Happiness, joy and inner peace do not flow into our living simply because we await them. No, we must swim out to that ship and jump aboard, for there is no ’ship coming in’ which will be docking simply because we wish it would. Our being entertained in life does not occur simply because we sit back and await it. We must dare ourselves to become the entertainers. We must do it ourselves, this entertaining that gives all of life meaning, purpous and laughter. Interestingly, this brings forth the entertainment we seek to receive from others.

We attract what we dare and desire to be. We bring forth those very gifts of life in which we wish to give, to offer the world. If we love, we pull in love. If we wish to be happy, we strive to make others happy. If we want beauty within our proximity, we take note and see the world and all its inhabitants as beautiful. We not only take personal note of beauty, magic and wonder, but to actualize this idyllic existence we communicate these ideas and express the possibilities to those around us. These dreams materialize and soon enough - others see these dreams as their own dreams and a strange transformation from imagination to reality begins to manifest!

We must never lose heart and therefore the vision to see dreams, magic and wonder that exists in the seemingly unseen portion of the world. This imagination is the core of all that is and will forever be in God’s unlimited gorgeous universe.

          There’s my little speech…
