Morton’s For A Fabulous Birthday Dinner!

This year for my dad’s 72nd birthday, the restauraunt of choice was Morton’s, located at the K Street Mall, downtown Sacramento.

The interior of Morton’s is decidedly rich and elegent, decorated in luxurious cherry wood furniture and warm earth tones. A quiet ambience and only a few other customers besides ourselves, we were in dining splendor.

Our gracious waitress, Sarah, was in top form as she presented the fabulous menu. “I like a girl in a bow tie, ” I told her. “Only a few of us can pull off androgyny!”

Mike (my partner), myself and my dad sat in anticipation of great food for the special birthday occasion. We ordered Italian water - cost: $17.00 for two bottles!

Along with a wide array of menu specialties, Sarah introduced us to one of the house headliners, a giant lobster named (appropriately), “Dinner.”

Take a look at this juicy porterhouse! Now, that’s a birthday dinner worthy of a king…

My filet mignon and shrimp alexander was heavenly delicious! One of the most delicious dinners I’ve had in quite awhile…If you are in the mood for fine dining for a special occasion and you have an extra couple hundred dollars, Morton’s is the place.
